Hands of Hope 2025: September 7th
Hands of Hope Sunday is our annual event where we go out and serve our community as an act of worship. On this special day, we put our faith into action by engaging in various service projects that help those in need, demonstrate God's love, and make a tangible impact. Join us as we come together to be the hands and feet of Christ, spreading hope and kindness throughout our community.
Hands of Hope Schedule
8:00 - 8:15am - Arrive to the courtyard at New Hope
8:20am - Devotions and instructions for the morning
8:30am - Communion
8:45am - Travel to sites of projects
9:00am-Noon - Work Projects
Noon-1pm - Church Picnic at New Hope

Hands of Hope Projects

You can view the different projects and their descriptions below. To sign up for a project, click the event Hands of Hope, then click "Register"  and under "tickets" is where you will select the project you want to volunteer for. If you are not sure and want to help out where you can, just keep the default ticket "Any Project".

Projects

Montoya Household  -  Mowing the lawn, weed whack, trimming as needed. Break down and removed wood debris. Deck foundation repair by replacing rotten deck supports and re-fasten loose boards.
What you need: Work gloves, long sleeves and pants recommended. Bring lawn care tools, something to break down scrap wood, and deck repair materials and tools.
 6-8 People Needed
Ledoux Household  -  Weeding, Trimming Bushes, Pick Up Pine Cones, Sanding/Painting siding.
What you need: Work gloves, long sleeves and pants are recommended. Bring tools that will be helpful.
  4-6 People Needed
Spiedel Household  -  Weeding, Assembling Bird Cage, Tree Trimming, TV antenna installation.
What you need: Any tools that can help.
3-6 People Needed
Magpie Art Center -  Repair leak in basement. And possible gutter installation.
What you need: Any tools that can help.
 2-3 People Needed
Becky Household - Lawn Work, Trimming, Mowing, Weed Whacking, Debris removal.
What you need: Work Gloves, Pants are recommended, and lawn care tools.
6-8 People Needed
Evilsizer Household -  Help Dee with trimming and weeding of a terraced hill in her backyard and cleaning out gutters on the home.
What you need: Work Gloves, Trimmers.
3-5 People Needed.
Iverson Household -  Trim some bush hedges and dispose of scraps.
What you need: Work Gloves, Trimmers.
3 People Needed.
Jackson Household - Lawn Care in the front and back yards. Mow lawn, weed whack, trim shrubs, including area beyond backyard fence.
What you need: Lawn Care Tools, Work Gloves, Pants recommended.
5-8 People Needed.
Vogt Household -  build small ramp for wheelchair, move boxes, hang pictures, possible cable repair for work out system.
What you need: General tools, work gloves.
3-6 People Needed

Family Friendly Projects

Paintbrush Park Clean-Up -  clean up within paintbrush park and the surrounding trails. This is through the city of Castle Rock. You will need to fill out a form for the city if you plan to participate in this project.
What you need: Sunscreen. All tools and equipment will be provided.
15-20 People Needed.
CALF Ranch -  This year CALF needs help with the garden. This could involve weeding and general cleanup around the garden or harvesting vegetables, some of which will be donated to Help and Hope.
What you need: Sunscreen. Tools will be provided.
8-10 People Needed
**Families With Young Children Only**
New Hope Kids Projects -  Repackaging cat/dog food for Help and Hope. Putting together New Hope Visitor kits. And Linus project blankets.
What you need: All will be provided.
15-20 People Needed

Low Mobility Projects at New Hope

Bread for the World and Anti-Smoking Kits -  Use a laptop or hand write letters to legislators on behalf of Bread for the World. Then you will put together anti-smoking kits for the Douglas County Health Department, to encourage people to quit smoking or vaping.
What you need: All will be provided
